The words of Scripture in the original languages (Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic) can have more depth than the modern connotations of the English words the translators selected. I do not think we should be insecure about using a translation to learn God’s Word, but sometimes a little extra information can be useful. I am not a scholar of the Biblical languages, but I do look up words sometimes to get a deeper understanding. I would be remiss if I did not share with you about the pharma in the book of Revelation.
By now, you have probably come to a conclusion about the nature of the latest popular pharma, be it helpful or evil. My purpose is not to make you worried or to condemn you. But I just want you to be aware, because this is not something everyone is familiar with, and if it can help you going forward, I do not want to keep quiet.
There are two places in Revelation that speak of pharma.
The first verse is Revelation 9:21, which is the last statement in the sixth trumpet judgment of Revelation—very near to the return of Christ.
Revelation 9:21(NKJV) And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
So, where is the pharma? It is actually the word translated “sorcercies” in our English Bibles.
The screenshots are from the Logos Bible app. You can see from the definition that this Greek word, pharmakon, translated “sorceries” in English, has a drug/medical component, as evidenced by the following words in the cited lexicons: “a drug, a poisoner, medicament, poison, medicine.” I don’t know about you, but I really wasn’t associating sorcery with drugs, although I have heard of the witch doctors in Africa dispensing medicines of some sort. It is obvious that our English word “pharmaceutical” derives from the root of this Greek word, pharmakon.

Sometimes heavy subjects can tempt us to worry, but Jesus wants us to trust Him. “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Jesus gave Revelation for our help, to prepare us to overcome, because He loves us. So, when it comes to the matter the pharma in the book of Revelation, I pray the LORD would give us wisdom when we need it. I pray also for the peace of Christ and the joy of the LORD to reign in our hearts.

It greatly disturbs me also that some declaring themselves prophets boldly declare the vaccine the mark of the beast and condemn others for receiving it. First off, I would think the antichrist would need be present for this to be valid. Secondly, you won’t be able to conduct business as usual without the mark. The unvaccinated are conducting business as usual. As for pharmekia meaning drugs, I believe sorcery is the correct translation. I totally agree that the vaccine is not the mark because people getting the vaccine are not doing so while also willfully denying Christ. I am fairly certain that acceping the mark will also involve knowingly rejecting HIm and do not believe God would allow His children to be tricked into accepting the mark. But what I do believe connects the vaccine to the mark is that technology has now been developed to track people who receive it or don’t and also the chips they have developed for “passports.” If such technology can prevent one from boarding an airplane it most certainly could block buying and selling. Never in history has such ability existed. I can just imagine people in the 1800’s reading Revelation and thinking “how on earth?” Well now we know.
Hi Karen. Yes! It’s certainly preparing folks to give in, but it’s not the same. I believe it will involve cryptocurrency. I have also heard about a smart vaccine delivery based on microneedle arrays, which can be painlessly applied to the skin. Perhaps a combination of those.

I wanted to just respond to your comment about the US being Mystery Babylon. Here’s my take on what scripture says about that:
I believe that the Bible says Jerusalem is Mystery Babylon. Here are some prooftexts to prove that theory:
– Revelation 11:8 “and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.”
o John calls the city “where their Lord was crucified” (Jerusalem) “the great city.” Now let’s see what else he calls “the great city.”
– Revelation 14:8 “Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality.”
o John calls Babylon “the great.”
– Revelation 17:5 “And on her (the Harlot) forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.””
o John identifies the woman/Harlot as “Babylon the great.”
– Revelation 17:18 “And the woman that you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.”
o Finally, John identifies the woman/Harlot as “the great city.” All 8 times the term “great city” is used in Revelation, John is referring to the same place.
o So, we can now conclusively say from one author that the Bible explicitly says:
JERUSALEM = THE GREAT CITY = BABYLON = HARLOT/WOMAN
Hi Jonathan. I’ve heard the Jerusalem is Babylon idea before but I just can’t see it because Babylon is destroyed by fire. Revelation 18:8: “Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.” And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath” (Revelation 16:19b). But when Jesus comes, He will protect Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:1-9) and destroy those who come against it.
Your reply to Israel being mystery Babylon is exactly my thoughts. How can Israel be Babylon when Israel is protected. Israel has other biblical roles but mystery Babylon is destroyed which might be why people say they can’t find where the USA is in the end times. I’ve seen many many hundreds if not hundreds then thousands of dreams and visions all telling of America being completely destroyed which lines up with mystery Babylon being destroyed. Out of all that I’ve watched and heard they don’t speak of other countries being destroyed. These dreams and visions given to people by Jesus like it says in Acts 2:17-18 back up the theory of America being mystery Babylon.

This I would challenge, I don’t believe the vaccine is the Mark, however with that said, I do believe it is pharmakia. I was in the military and worked for DoD and have known some scientists, my concern that they have come up with means to block and enhance certain parts of the brain. One being the part of the brain that some refer to as the God particle in the brain. The part that hears the voice of God and is in part the religion center. So though I believe it can be more and more dangerous to trust in medicines. I never had a vaccine about covid, I however believe this is in part what their referring too, and if you watch people’s actions and reactions after getting a covid vaccine many and most I would say have a personality change, and their walls and the personality began to change in extreme ways, even things that use to be what we might call common sense, is no longer, the prone attitude to do things that they would of never done before. People are too quick to just put it on known illegal drugs, but the fact that it’s speaks of deceit tells me it’s more. Hi Will. I am sorry to hear about your mom’s cancer diagnosis. I don’t have a specific answer to your question. I had a friend who underwent chemotherapy who told me that amidst treatment, she felt it was extremely difficult to hear God. And she felt it was because of the chemotherapy affecting her brain, and not His voice being silent. I saw a video one time of a wicked person talking about afflicting a particular part of the brain they identified as aiding a connection with God (wanting to disrupt that), but I can’t find that video right now nor anything like it. One article I just read said person’s relationship with God affects many areas of the brain. You can research it if you like. There are many different types of chemotherapy, so presumably they have different impacts to the brain, too. There’s a doctor I follow on Instagram, @Dr.Austin.Lake, and one of his posts is “‘What would you do if you had c@ncer?’ My response” (You have to scroll down a bit to find it.) He has a number of suggestions.
